My love of coffee started at a very young age. I remember my first cup covered in whipped cream on a roundtrip flight from Peoria International Airport to Dulles International in the early 1970's. I began roasting after attending the Specialty Coffee Association of America conference in Long Beach, California in 2007. My

My love of coffee started at a very young age. I remember my first cup covered in whipped cream on a roundtrip flight from Peoria International Airport to Dulles International in the early 1970's. I began roasting after attending the Specialty Coffee Association of America conference in Long Beach, California in 2007. My family opened our first business, Stucco House Coffee Roasters, in Murphy North Carolina, in September of that year. It was there, where I cultivated my craft. After fighting through the recession for 5 years, Johnny & I moved back to my hometown, Peoria, Illinois in late 2012.
I have one son, Johnathon, whom I am lucky to walk this earth with. He has been with me since the beginning. He is my biggest fan, and I his. I have been waiting since we closed the Stucco House to roast coffee for myself and for my customers again.
